Building Heating and Cooling
As 2019, our entire office area is heated and cooled with super high-efficiency heat pumps with full zone capabilities. This allows us to only heat and cool only the portions of the building in active use.
The move to heat pumps eliminated our use of natural gas for the entire office and common areas of the building.

Heat Pump Water Heater
In addition to our super cool heat recovery system in the brewhouse, we also use an air-source water heater to pull heat from our transformers and electrical panels to provide all of the hot water for the offices and common areas of the building.
Not only did this completely eliminate fossil fuel use from most of our building, it reduced our water heating costs by 90%, and we no longer need to cool our electrical room.
The system is s efficient, in fact, that we are able to provide our tenant with hot water for free. Talk about a win-win-win situation.
